Light emitting diode (LED) technology was developed by NASA in the 1980's to improve the healing of wounds and tissue growth in space. It was later discovered that different wavelengths of light produced different cellular reactions in the skin. The Max LED system allows for monochromatic or polychromatic light therapies specifically tailored for the client's areas of concern. The benefits of Max LED therapy include promoting collagen and elastin protein production while slowing the enzyme that causes collagen to break down. Max LED therapy also improves the tone and texture of the skin and reduces pore size. Clients will see an improvement in the appearance of their skin even after one treatment; however with each treatment the condition and health of your skin will continue to improve. After the client completes their recommended Max LED regimen, their skin continues to improve over a 12 month period with maximum benefits of the treatment visible at that point. Clients usually continue with a maintenance schedule, which includes two to four Max LED treatments per year to maintain the results and benefits of their treatment.
